A German Feldfleiger Abteilung (FA) consisted of :
6 aircraft (usually two-seaters, but one or two scouts were sometimes attached. This stopped on the Western Front with the formation of the the Jastas, but continued in other theatres longer)
14/15 officers (depending on sources), consisting of 7 pilots, 6 observers and one 'special use' (photographer ?)
116-117 NCOs and men (depending on sources)
16 motor vehicles (variously noted as11 heavy lorries, 5 touring cars, one motor bus, 6 aircraft tugs ~ presumably some were multi-functional ?).
Wagons for workshops, fuel, stores, munitions and baggage (these may be included in the heavy lorry category or horsedrawn)
Supported by a Feld Flug Park, retaining 2 pilots, one observer and 2-3 new aircraft (sources differ) per FA it supported.
10 lorries were used for carrying tents, tools, reserve material and to act as workshops.
