I have a report in front of me about a crashed 2F.1 Camel. The fuselage serial number was unreadable but the underside of the upper wings carried the following marking:
NEBKY 49 6 – 5 – 1918 I B 6823 From that the report has concluded that the aircraft serial number was [N]6823. Is this a reasonable assumption? |
